What exactly will be covered with a AFC Home Club policy?

I have homeowners insurance, so why do I need to become an AFC Home Club member?

Home insurance covers the emergencys in life, usually associated with fire, wind, water and so forth. If your roof blows off or pipes explode and flood an entire floor you’ll need to have a insurance policy in place to cover those damages. What if it’s hot outside and the A/C system breaks. Are you able to afford a costly repair with today’s times? If you have a home club plan from AFC Home Home Club you won’t have to worry about being in this situation. With a complete home protection plan you can have the peace of mind that “we have you covered”.

Another way that homeowner’s insurance and home club plans are different is a homeowner’s insurance policy carries a deductible and has variable rates. For example, you may have a $1,000 deductible on your homeowner’s insurance policy which means that in the event of a covered claim you would have to pay $1,000 out of pocket before the insurance company would begin paying for damages. Also, your rates could increase from one policy term to the next. Typically after filing a claim, or multiple claims, your insurance premiums will increase to some extent.

AFC Home Club, however, does not carry a deductible but only a service charge of $60.00 when a service professional comes to your home. For example, let’s say your hot water heater breaks due to normal wear and tear and you file a claim with your home club company. You will be required to pay the stated service charge on your contract at the time of service for the repair person’s visit. However, when covered, your home club company would then pay the remaining costs to replace or repair the hot water heater.

What if I need a repair?

Upon request for service, the Administrator will contract an Authorized Service center within eight (8) hours, during normal business hours. The Authorized Service center will promptly contact you to schedule a mutually convenient appointment time during normal business hours. The Administrator will determine what repairs constituent an emergency (such as extreme weather conditions or uncontrolled water) and will make reasonable efforts to expedite emergency service.

How do I make a service call?

When a covered item breaks down, request service by calling 1-855-613-4555 to speak with a highly trained customer service representative. After your service request is received, one of our approved and insured contractors will contact you to schedule a time to diagnose your problem. A trade service call fee, per trade, is due when the contractor arrives to diagnose the problem.

I have older appliances. Will they still be covered?

Yes. AFC Home Club will cover your home systems and appliance despite their age. If the items are unable to be repaired or replaced with the same model due to age the equivalent cash value of the item will be given.

Does a home club plan require an inspection prior to qualifying?

No. We do not require a home inspection to qualify for a AFC Home Club policy. You do have a 30 day waiting period before the policy activates.

Is there a deductible?

NO

You only pay a service call fee per claim, no matter what the actual cost of the repair or replacement for your covered item. You pay this to the technician that we send to your home.

Is there a claims limit?

Unlike most home club plans, that only give you protection for one year and if you have a claim during that time will cancel you, we at AFC Home Club have unlimited number of repairs. We have the highest limits of liability in the market place of $7500.00. Most companies have a cap of $2500.00 to $3000.00 limit.

How can you customize AFC plans?

AFC Home Club offers various plans, many options and premium coverage to customize a package to fit your needs.
