One reason that we at AFC consider ourselves a home service club (or HSC) instead of a home warranty company, is that we offer a better experience for our members.
For starters, we value each customer. It doesn’t matter whether you have a basic plan or a comprehensive plan, and it doesn’t matter which service fee you chose, we do our best to quickly repair your home’s systems and appliances.
Some home warranty companies are more likely to deny claims for customers who purchase standard plans instead of comprehensive plans. Some home warranty plans also demand that homeowners pay their service fee directly to the company, allowing the home warranty company to pay the technician an even lower rate.
As a home service club, AFC offers flexible coverage plans so that homeowners don’t have to purchase coverage they don’t need, and we understand that the coverage should be tailored to suit the home and the homeowner. Some homeowners only need a basic, standard plan to meet their needs, but those with additional appliances and systems might benefit from a comprehensive plan.
We also believe that different customers have different service needs. Some have their own contractor that they trust, and we encourage them to use their own technician with our service. We take claims online and by phone. We let customers pay technicians the service fee directly.
