STEP 1:

Open a new service Request

If you would like to open a new request, please fill out the form above or call 770-973-2400.

If multiple appliances or systems in your home need service, fill out a form for each issue. Please make sure to have the make, model, and serial number for each appliance needing service. Once your request is submitted an AFC agent may call you with more detailed questions if necessary.

STEP 2:

If you do not wish to use your own licensed contractor, we will connect you with a licensed local contractor within 24-48 business hours, and you will receive an email with the local contractor’s information to contact them for scheduling.

The technician will provide a diagnosis for authorization if repairs can be completed at the time of service. If parts or supplies must be ordered, the technician will submit the diagnosis online for authorization.

Step 3:

Once approved repairs are completed, we will contact you to confirm and ensure your satisfaction with the work. We will then pay the technician directly.

***No reimbursement will be issued unless AFC Home Warranty provided authorization.

One reason that we at AFC consider ourselves more than a home warranty company, is that we offer a better experience for our members.

For starters, we value each customer. It doesn’t matter whether you have a basic plan or a comprehensive plan, and it doesn’t matter which service fee you chose, we do our best to quickly repair your home’s systems and appliances.

Some home warranty companies are more likely to deny claims for customers who purchase standard plans instead of comprehensive plans. Some home warranty plans also demand that homeowners pay their service fee directly to the company, allowing the home warranty company to pay the technician an even lower rate.

AFC offers flexible coverage plans so that homeowners don’t have to purchase coverage they don’t need, and we understand that the coverage should be tailored to suit the home and the homeowner. Some homeowners only need a basic, standard plan to meet their needs, but those with additional appliances and systems might benefit from a comprehensive plan.

We also believe that different customers have different service needs. Some have their own contractor that they trust, and we encourage them to use their own technician with our service. We take claims online and by phone. We let customers pay technicians the service fee directly. Yes you can. Our in-house service line is operated 24/7, so you can call 855-613-4555 at any time . Claims can also be made online.
Keep in mind that most technicians are not available after regular hours, and our service staff may be unable to make contact with technicians until the beginning of the next business day. We are not an emergency service, but you can contact an after-hours technician for late nights, holidays, or weekends—we accept repairs from any licensed, insured technician.

Factors such as demand and workload can affect how soon technicians are able to make repairs, but it’s our responsibility to have the appointment scheduled within 24-48 hours during normal working times.

If the technician’s diagnosis determines that the item cannot be repaired (often because parts are no longer available), the technician will repair or replace the covered item with a similar or like system/appliance based on equipment of similar features, capacity, efficiency and value.
If the cost of repair is higher than the item’s value, we’ll give you the item’s fair market value towards a new item.

A work guarantee refers to a length of time after a repair during which the homeowner will not have to pay if the same issue occurs again. Most home warranty companies will guarantee a repair for 30, sometimes 60 days, but AFC Home Warranty offers the longest work guarantee in the industry: we’ll guarantee the cost of parts and labor on repairs for the life of the plan.
